Brick Tavern Provides Easi-Set Building for Oyster Bay Ball Park Field

MIDLAND, Va.Hudson, NY - Brick Tavern Concrete Products of Hudson, New York, recently provided a 10’ x 12’ Easi-Set fully assembled precast concrete equipment building to the Roosevelt Field Ball Park on Oyster Bay, Long Island.  The building will be used to house the electrical equipment for the little league ball park lighting.

Brick Tavern manufactured the pitched roof, brick finish building at their Hudson, New York facility where they recently completed a 10,000 square foot manufacturing facility dedicated to the production of Easi-Set precast concrete buildings.   Easi-Set Buildings provide durability, flexibility, convenience, cost effectiveness and long lasting security.  The patented, post-tensioned building system provides even greater weather-tightness and impact resistance for the precast roof and floors.  Easi-Set Buildings are installed in a day, require no foundation and are relocatable.
According to Tim Cantele, who owns Brick Tavern with his wife Diane, Easi-Set Buildings have numerous advantages over conventional constructional materials.  “They have excellent lead times, are affordable and precast goes up in a matter of days.  Because the entire building is constructed from precast concrete panels, the maintenance and operating costs over its 75-100 year life will be extremely low, not to mention the fact the walls are made from foam filled sandwich panels which carry an R-26 energy rating.”  The production on the Oyster Bay building began in May with delivery in late June.

Brick Tavern is a family owned concrete products company that has been doing business in Hudson for more than 25 years.  The company began with selling burial vaults and as the business plateaued, took the next logical step of adding various concrete products lines.  The recent addition of Easi-Set was a natural choice as the company planned for future growth.  Tim Cantele said, “We wanted to move into a product line that was unique in the area and Easi-Set fit the ticket.  They are a nationally recognized brand and very respected in their industry.”

Brick Tavern employees were trained at in-plant production from Easi-Set experts focusing on efficient set-up, pouring, removing and yarding of the transportable Easi-Set Buildings.  Production training areas included in-plant, hands-on instruction related to ensuring Easi-Set’s quality standards.
